Hospital Director:

Dr Robert Trupp

Dr. Trupp received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 1993. He is a member of the Topeka Veterinary Medical Association and a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Associations and the American Animal Hospital Association. He spends free time with Andrea, his wife through thick and thin, as well as his 3 active kids, Mariah, Katy, and Adam. We saved the best for last, Dr. Trupp loves his furry family as well!  With a wild cat named Mouse  and one big ol' happy lab retriever (Blue) he has a full house AND a full life!!

Associate Veterinarian:

Dr. Jerilynn Weisshaar

 

Technicians:

We are so fortunate to have 2 Registered Veterinary Technicians at our Hospital!! Sara is a graduate of Maple Woods program in Kansas City, while Jessica got her degree in Colby in Western Kansas.

Sara Liezert R.V.T.

Sara has been part of our West Ridge family for 10 years. Sara is a graduate of Maple Woods Community College.  She really enjoys working with our clients for a better understanding of how medicine can positively impact the relationship between people and pets.  She enjoys glittery celestial paraphernalia, Jazzercise, and spends free time with the cats ;Sphynx, Sirrus, and Albert as well as her King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Franklin.

Jessica Schmidt R.V.T.

I hope you have had the chance to meet our newest Technician. Jessica graduated from Colby Community College in 2007. She grew up in McPherson Kansas and enjoys life here in Topeka. Other than keeping the peace at home between Avis (an adorable dog) and Wadsworth (a moody cat) she really enjoys live music, the lake, summertime and of course friends and family.

Client Support Specialists:

Keeley McWilliams

I hope you have been fortunate enough to meet this receptionist. Keeley will greet you with a warm smile and can really multi task!! She enjoys taking care of both people and pets. Keeley is a busy woman with her people family and her pet family. She spends off work time with her Husband James, and their three kids Korrynne, Evan and Annalise. The furry family are Muffy, Ariel, Jasmine, Pvt. Nubbs, and Gimli !!  WOW  what a full house to manage!!

Karen Barber

Karen loves  Pina Coladas.  Getting caught in the rain!!  She is not into yoga and she has half a brain!!  :)  She loves spending time with her husband and 2 wonderful pets Disel and Chloe.  She loves to sing, so you will hear a happy tune wherever she goes.   She has a soft spot for yorkies and wonder woman!!

 

 

Caitlyn Althouse

Caitlyn loves tolaugh!  There is rarely a dull moment when she is around....and she likes it that way !  Se enjoys spending time with her husband Jake, and teaching her two year old daughter Jules how to make random animal noises.  She loves to crack a good joke and sing at the top of her lungs.  She doesn't have any pets yet, but would love a persian cat and an english bulldog.  Hope you get a chance to meet our newest member of Client Services.

Kennel Support Team:

Keri Herrick

Have you ever left your pet with us for the day, if so your pet may know our tender hearted Kennel Manager even if you don't!!  Keri has been with us for many years and she takes care of each pet like they were all her own. She really has a way of calming the most scared pets and entertaining the high energy ones as well. When she is not here, she likes to spend time with her Husband Steve, and her 4 pets at home.

 

Hospital Manager:

Kris Tajchman

If you have been to West Ridge Animal Hospital you have probably seen Kris.  Prior to statring at West Ridge , Kris was a graduate of Kansas State.  A veteran of over 18 years, She spends a lot of time making sure things run smooth at the Hospital.  She spends any free time with her wonderful family;  Wade her loving and understanding husband, as well as Logan, the 4rd grader and Dylan, the 4 year old.  The kitties at her house are important too. Their antics keep the whole family laughing (or crying depending upon the situation) When Kris isn't taking care of things at work she loves to read,Jazzercise, and cook, clean ok, she loves to nap! (she must have learned from her cats!!)
